What drawer slides did you use?

Two layers of 5/8" drywall will perform much better than Sonopan + 1/2" drywall

use 1/2" plywood,and instead of routing a recess for the router baseplate,glue strips of 1/4" ply ( or strips cut to the precise thickness needed) around the plate. you can glue 8/32 or 10-32 bolts into the strips for wingnuts to hold down the retaining strips,making it easy to remove the router for other jobs. plus with 1/2" ply,you get more reach with your router bit. How did you disable the height adjust mechanism to allow the free sliding depth cutting?

Lol NEVER to use with flour tortillas is only for corn (mazeca) tortillas and we ALWAYS use a plastic liner that covers the tortilla top and bottom, then you can lift over your hand and linto hot surface for cooking. .😂😂😂😮😮😮 😊😊😊

Is there a link to where you bought the slides at, I printed off the build sheet for wood materials size etc. but do not see anything about the drawer slides for . Where did you purchase them and do you have the sizes please. Enjoyed watching the build, nicely done!

realizing this is 4 years later but how did it hold up? Did you get multiple years out of it?

Not to be argumentative, but I worked with a system that had multiple E-stops, seven of them I believe, And the Master was actually normally OPEN. We had to actually pay special attention when ordering replacements (It was a corrosive environment) because every E-stop we had came in a normally OPEN and a normally CLOSED variant. This might be an american thing, it is what it is, Just trying to share some information.

I need a 20w to 40w laser cutter that has a minimum cutting area of 18" x 36". Cutting mostly 1/16" to 1/4" x 4" x 36" balsa sheets and birch ply up to 3/8". Can this machine be expanded or bought to that size? Thanks

What about 3/4" ply + Sonopan + MLV + 1/2" cement board? Or maybe the MLV stapled behind the studs somehow? Is that a decent sandwich for absorbing sound?

Try testing rockwool and acoustic foam

So, unfortunately the material added to the cyclone is a thermal insulator, not an acoustics related product. It appears to be some sort of open or closed cell foam with a super thin aluminum layer. To get some sort of reduction in structure borne noise, you would need a constrained layer damper. Most of these use a butyl formula with a much thicker aluminum constraining layer, but not all products are equal. In fact, in testing, the best performing product I’ve tested performs better than using 10 times as much as one of the most recommended budget products on Amazon.

Ther is a material which seems like you didn't consider on both tests... EPDM Rubber, a 5mm thick one (5kg/square meter (1250kg/cubic meter) should give you (alone) average 25dB of absorbtion, but not all frequencies gets the same tamed by the same amount, bass frequencies are much difficult to treat. there is a product called TopSilent (made by an italian company) but I believe you can find comething similar in any country.

Put these in my shed today. Quick. Easy. And extremely strong. Thanks for the great idea
